Turkish tent 1

$2.00

This pattern is from an actual goats hair tent that I saw in a museum in Germany decades ago,  but really think that this is likely a similar type of craft that has been used for thousands of years.  The pattern i saw on the Turkish tent in Germany had this great fish-scale pattern, and also is probably a strong weave and was a lovely pattern to look at.  It seems to me that tent weaving was practiced in the thousands of years BCE, and perhaps geometric designs like this one became incorporated into the tents that the nomads lived in.

Isaiah 54:2-3 "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
